On Seeing Echoes

on seeing echoes.jpeg

I wrote a poem to myself and it's about you
Is something I would say
To anyone I love
Mirrors all around

Glaring-most reflection
Coming from your direction
My full knowing what you are
What you drain from me
Integration of heart and mind is tricky like that most days
Until a crack shatters it all away
Seven years of repentance or freedom
Depending on how you glimpse it

Is this love or is it something different
Something beautiful and unfamiliar
Some invisible echo
Or neediness vibrating incessantly
I don't know what to do
I don't know how to see

This day is on the way
The end is near
True love awaits
Things I tell myself when feeling hopeful
Hopefully un-fully believing
That a just-right-click exists
Having never perceived
Someone who sees me
Someone I see
Our vision clear enough to gaze past the glass
Into each other's eyes into our own

I have the will
I have the will
My blind resound resounds until
I wrote a poem to myself and it's about you
Is something I can say
To anyone I love
Mirrors all around
